1. Respect boundaries
Be considerate. No threats, harassment, hate speech, bullying, stalking, sexual pressure, hate campaigns or repeated messages after someone asks you to stop. Use blocking when you do not want further contact.
2. Study honestly
Share clear, helpful explanations and credit sources. Do not publish cheating-for-hire offers, impersonate a tutor, pass off someone else's work as your own, circulate exam answers unlawfully or promote academic fraud. A high match score does not imply that another student is qualified to teach a subject.
3. Notes Feed and public content
Use Only me for notes that should stay private. Notes marked On my profile may appear in Discover Notes for signed-in students. Do not post someone else's private information, misleading material, spam or harmful images. You may report public notes that violate these guidelines. Saving a note does not transfer its copyright to you.
4. Protect other people's privacy
Do not expose emails, phone numbers, home addresses, ID documents, live locations, private chats, images or personal records without proper permission. Never request or share passwords and one-time verification codes. Screenshots and downloads can persist even after content is deleted.
5. Upload content responsibly
Attach only images you are permitted to share to Notes; supported documents and other files may be attached to authorised messages or group discussions. No malicious files, unlawfully copied books, non-consensual intimate images or impersonation material. Label uploaded material clearly and check it before sharing.
6. Use care when meeting in person
Arrange study sessions in safe public or campus locations, tell a trusted person your plans and avoid unnecessary personal disclosures. On-campus match suggestions are based on profile details, not a safety check. Peermigo does not supervise meetups or guarantee attendance.
7. Run study groups fairly
Group organisers should explain the study purpose, treat members fairly, remove abusive material when appropriate and never use admin controls to harass or retaliate. A group or verification badge is not an official endorsement by a college or university.
8. Report abuse and seek help
Use Peermigo's available report and block features or contact peermatchstudents@gmail.com. Reports may be reviewed, and actions depend on the available evidence; no immediate response is guaranteed. In an emergency, contact local emergency services instead of waiting for a platform response.
9. What happens after a violation
We may warn users, remove content, restrict features or suspend access where warranted. You can raise a concern about a moderation decision through support. These guidelines form part of the Terms of Use and should be read with the Privacy Policy.
